See below for answers to our commonly asked questions! If you don't find your answer here, please contact us!

Q: Do you currently have memberships available?
A: Yes! We offer season memberships as well as one- and two-day passes. Memberships are limited each season, so be sure to visit our Membership page for current availability and details.

Q: Do you follow California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) hunting regulations?
A: Absolutely. All hunts are conducted in full compliance with CDFW rules, regulations, and seasons, including daily bag and possession limits.

Q: Do I need to reserve a field ahead of time?
A: No reservations are needed. Simply select an open field from our club maps and enjoy your hunt. Each area is clearly marked with KLSC signs—if someone’s already there, just move to the next field.

Q: How many days can I hunt each season?
A: As many as you’d like! Members can hunt throughout the regular season, with just a couple of exceptions—no hunting on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and no hunting on Fridays, except for the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Q: What kind of cover will I be hunting?
A: The cover varies each year based on crop rotation and land use. You’ll find a mix of rice stubble, alfalfa, corn stubble, and fallow fields, with most hunts taking place along the ditches that border the fields. Every season offers a slightly different challenge and a new landscape to explore.

Q: Do I need a hunting dog to participate?
A: While not required, having a well-trained bird dog can make a big difference in your success. Many of our members hunt with pointers and flushers, but solo hunters are always welcome too.

Q: Can guests or non-members hunt?
A: Guest opportunities are available on a limited basis through day passes. Please check the Membership page or contact us for availability and pricing.
